The Mystery of Un-Learning

Have you ever deeply pondered the mystery of learning to read? We take some shapes that we are told are called letters, bunch them together and call them words. Then we string different words together and call them a thought – a sentence.

It’s amazing how the human brain takes in information from varying sources (input), processes it then tells us what to do with it (output).

Many times, we take for granted the things that are easy for us to accomplish. Reading is no exception to that rule.

  1. Wow! I am so thankful that I could read this article! That is something I take for granted! Thank you for sharing. That is a great way that she is coping and relearning everything! That would be really tough.

    • Yes, Kristin, when we hear these kinds of stories we are awakened to appreciate the many things we just accept without much thought. You are welcome.

      Isn’t it heartwarming how she keeps working at returning to some state of normalcy? The more I realize how blesses I am, the more I am learning to live with more gratitude and less complaining.
